Well I had the oppurtunity to meet a very cool older man this past year. His stories are the best I have heard in a long time and his life has been very fast pace non the less. I was introduce to Mr. Roy Crandall out of Homer , NY who owned and drove one of the Dragon Snake. The picture of Mr. Crandall and his car can be found online under Dragon Snake Cobra.

Unfortunately he has sold the car a long time ago. But he has gone on to tell me and show me stuff he has collected over the years and well I have bought some of the stuff including this truck.

So I am planning on getting it running adding fenders and some new brakes ,tires, glass and any other odds and ends so we can just have a nice little parts hauler.

Thanks for looking. Remember they are still out there. :D

Thanks evryone! I have been cleaning it up a bit , it turns over so I got some new plugs, wires and points for it. I also decided to clean the engine compartment up and redo the interior this year and drive the shit out of it the way she looks. Obviously replace the brakes and tires. I am planning on running 6.50 x 16"s in the back and 6.00 x 16's up front with black steelies.

I found a drivers side back fender for it. Now I have to get one for the passengers side. I will post some pics later today of some more progress on the ol girl.

  11. Before you go and spend a small fortune in getting the brakes and engine to work on that 42, go take a look at all the pictures I've posted on my albums. I have three of these 41-46 Chevy trucks. I have found Isuzu Suv Chassis to work great, provide me with disc brakes, modern suspension, rigid frame, power steering, power brakes, adjustable torsion bar front end. Cool thing is, your old 6 lug wheels are the same bolt pattern.

Almost forgot I had picked up a pair of Good Years for the back 6.50x16's and I have a new pair of 6.00x16's for the front. I am going to be getting them mounted up on the stock rims which I am cleaning and painting gloss black.

There is a guy in my hometown that has been driving a blue and white '42 around for years and years. Such a good looking truck.

    Congrats!
