Will swaping in a 292 Y block in a 50 Ford F-1 using a trans adapter to original trans require any firewall cutting ? I've got this nice old Y block but don't want to cut up my 50 to make it fit
    Thanks for any help

Hey, I think you can do it without cutting the fire wall. Find one of the Hurst y block adaptors for the front mount and take some measurements. I put a y motor in my 40 ford without cutting it up. Did have to use electric fan, it was close. Don't forget the Redd's headers and the Smithies !! Good luck !!!
