Projects ford y block distributor problem

OK,IM doing a frame-off on a 56 ford vickygonna be a mild kustom.The oem dizzy is a loadamatic non-centrifugal and is a P.O.S.!You have to get a 57 up dizzy which are VERY HARD to find.Advance auto sold me a new RICHPORTER FD_06 dizzy.Well after i get it i find the shaft lengths are different,and this dizzy is also applicable for a ford 302.!I e-mailed RP today hoping to get my money back,Ive seen a 292 y block dizzy i can get for 50.00 on JYD.IS there anyway to swap shafts ? Thanks

 

ask for a distributor for a 65 Ford pickup with 292 should be less than $60. Then join the 52-59 ford and mercury group

 

Make that a 64 pickup No Y blocks in 65 Try autozone O'Relley etc.. Your 302 distributor will not work even with a different shaft The last one i bought was about 75 bucks

 

302 is not going to work Napa has rebuilds for $65
