I've been told hoe the front transverse single spring length is figured ; distance between perches minus 5 inches or set up perches with shackles horizontal for spring eye to eye length...

What about the rear spring, same as the front measuring methods?

If you know for sure what the spring you have is from you simply duplicate the factory Ford perch dimensions for that spring and build accordingly.
If not you measure center spring eye to center spring eye of the spring laying on the floor, add 1.5" per side for shackles, then an inch to inch and a half for tension. That is your center perch eye to center perch eye dimension. EX: 45 eye to eye, plus 3 for shackles, plus 1 to 1.5 for tension, so 49 or 49.5 eye to eye for perches.

Thanks, that's what I need. It says something similar in the 'Speedway Motors catalog' ...
