Very nice job so far....I would never have thought of making that into a coupe...I'll be watching this one for sure!!!
This looks great !! You are doing good deads ! Best of luck an keep up the good work . I can imagine that people are lining up with there bodies. Karl
I have o.c.d. about rusty sheetmetal. I tend to cut it all out, then wait for the sheetmetal fairy to come and replace it I doesnt work...
The body is built to fit right on this frame, the plans is to drive the coupe on stock chassie this year. Next year if I have time and inspiration Im putting the coup on this frame with a new drive train. Lars
Hello again, now the welding almost done. Some minor things left to do, after this its time for the boring finish work before painting. Caddy-O I forget to read on the can but I will do next time Im in the garage, but it is some welding primer my friend use. Its some Volvo product; I will check the part number, not cheap. Lars
just spent the last 5-min going through what looked like about 80 plus hours of work ! ! ! Cool thread you crazy turkey !
Here are my friend doing the lead solder filling before all work with the bondo, when we start with the bondo I hopefully can do more work. Lars
Awesome...the bottom of my A sedan is bout that bad. Right now Im focused on makin the rest of the car real solid then some day get to all the body work. Very Inspiring
Didn't find this thread until today... Knowing what you had to begin with, you've made some serious progress! Cool!!!
AH the smell of burning beeswax on a warm shaping paddle. Great to see some real lead work on a car. Keep up the good work.
wow a tru god damn artist give this guy a round of aplause this thing is looking great .. where did you get all the qurters and the lower filler peices from ....or did you make em..
Hii Thanks for all responses! Nothing much happens at the moment with the coup, as we have a short summer here in Sweden we just put some primer on it and parked it in the barn. Hope to keep up the work when the winter arrives, regarding chopping the roof or not I haven't decided yet. My plans are to drive it un chopped and with the banger until my next chassis is done, perhaps I know then if I will chop it. All sheet metal is fabricated in the garage by my friend; you can see picks of some of his tools in the tread. Promise to update when I start with the coup again. Regarding the quarter panels / floor / and all new sheet metal on this A its home made except for the sub rails. I think it shouldnt be any problems for my metal man to fix this also but I had this laying around. He has built a 28 roadster just out of metal except for the cowl and front fenders, but the front fenders were in real bad shape. I have sent picks of this before, but here they are again. Lars
