Buddy offered me a good deal on a set of '69 351W heads casting DOOE-C and was told that they would bolt right up to my '89 302 engine no problem and would flow better to boot, I know they would flow better, but will they bolt right up?

yep, you have to change bolts, the 351 w uses 1/2 bolts, 302, 7/16. ARP makes these conversion bolts, with the larger shoulder for this. Seems as though Mr Gasket also makes 'em

  3. FYI Those are '70 heads. Same rules apply though:cool: Stu

Easy to do, just follow the other guys' advice.

Although, they're not THAT much better than the E7s that came on your '89 engine.

From what I could find online the 69-73 D0O-E heads have larger intake ports and larger valves 1.85 intake vs. the 1.78 for the E7TE heads that I have now. Not a huge diff but a diff none the less. I also read that the stock D0O-E heads flow better than the Edelbrock performer 302 heads. Don't know if there is any truth to that one though.
