So Pete you're saying you replaced a broken Reproduction Greyhound with an original one which actually would have been a Reproduction in 36 as it was sold by Stant...

If you're talking OEM Ford they did not use the Greyhound on 36s...

Those original ford greyhounds are beautiful. But yes, they're a little pricey.
As I have a whippet myself (a dog, not the car :) ) I had to get a sighthound for my Ford. I recently got one of ebay in the UK. Looks different. A little more art deco style but I like it.

But I don't know, from what car it is. Does anyone know more about this one?

My grandfather bought the 34 sedan new and it came with a Greyhound, a short time later it went missing.
He was understandably upset, my father was 14 at the time and went down to Western Auto and bought a
remake of the original. Only deference was the dog bolted to the cap instead of being one piece. I still have
that cap, but it has one broken leg. Anyone ever see a Western Auto cap? Still own the sedan and I found an
original cap for it years ago......

    Hello JJ,
I picked up this bronze Greyhound at the flea market yesterday...At first I thought it was the bus Co...now I think it might be the Ford Co ...its bronze so could it be a gift to customers or executives at Ford.
Its 9" 1/4 long....Where the foot meets the base it looks like someone shoved a washer to tighten it up.
On the bottom is the remnants of green felt. Any info would be greatly appreciated .
    Thanks Billy

This one's my favorite. Lived on the old Tijuana drivers ed 34. Believe an artist type foundry made a small run of these in bronze.

That's a pretty neat bronze Greyhound. It looks like it was originally gilt or gold plated.

If it be an original Ford in-house souvenir item then you made a really good buy!
