This car is sic! I love it!
Awesome lookin' wagon........... cool thread.
Dad's last ride, during construction and as he left it:
Lumpity cammed 351W made it to the very roughed in, mock-up phase. It was backed by a somewhat rare E100 van 4-speed w/ OD. The '58-59 steering box (with Borgeson joint) helped to clear the modified 5.0 Mustang unequal length shorty headers (copped from my stash . Master cylinder is an unknown aluminum 2 chamber unit that readied it for a front disc conversion. He tried a 460 swap initially but couldn't get it to sit very comfortably:
Car now lives in Silver Springs, FL. Was purchased by my Dad's childhood good friend (also my Godparents) after his passing. It has been finished there in a drop dead blue and white pearl tutone with the original hubcaps, red steelies and wide whites. Will post "after" pics when I get them scanned. I'd love to be able to visit it one day soon...
Here's mine.... well it's not mine yet, I'm negotiating with my dad for it now, but I am fairly certain that a trade for my 65 2 door wagon plus some cash will get it done.
Yeah, make that trade happen, that's a great looking car, not sure about rust, but the panels look great.
1961 fairlane coupe driver ... needs a new home ..
The "Robie Ford" pic was taken at Sanford, Maine in June of 1966.--by me! Sylvanus I want to thank Cobrajet2 for posting them for me.
Robie Ford ad.

My then almost finished 55.
Here's what mines looks like now (1 year after I started this thread), sadly I have to sell it.
My old 428 powered '66!!!!
Here is my 65 fairlane 500 wagon. Has a forged 306, gt40x heads, trickflow stage two cam, 650 claw carb with a AOD trans. Getting bagged and disc brakes now. And my new liscense plates came! LOL.
Another Sylvanus Pierce Collection photo.
I don't think the OP had '50s Fairlanes in mind, but here's my '56:
That 56 is super nice! Great job! Love the color.
Correction my friend... All Fairlanes are what I had in mind. They're all cool ass hell!
BTW... that baby is sweeeeeet!
Here's my '56 Ford Fairlane oval track racer. Has a FE and a quick/change rear. 80% of the floorboards are stock.
50fraud, very nice! May I ask what color that is?
Sure. It's a Nissan Altima color from a few years ago; it's called "Mystic Emerald".
Here's my baby....
4 words come to mind: simple, elegant, beautiful, and Damn!
Wowwiee wow wow, that is one beautiful car.
Sweet - reminds me of my first car, a lime gold '68 Fairlane with a 302-2V, black vinyl roof, and parchment interior. It was a Grandma special but I loved that car. Took care of the body rust but the frame decided to turn to iron oxide so away the Beast went. Someday I'll get another when I have the room to play around with one - still have the grille, dashboard, and a good amount of the trim somewhere.
Added Cragars and skinny whites.
Lookin' good Blades, I just got some new wheels for my '62 also, gotta get 'em powdercoated and then get them mounted, I'm so ready to get these 80's aluminum things off of it.
