I know there are sum Econo lovers here. This is my pal Tony'S Econoline. He is gonna dump the wide whites and go back to pinner whites. This truck is f'n cool. Sorry the pics is blurry
All your friends drive cool rides..... What did he do for the front, did he just drop the parallel leaf springs or did he change out the front supension? Nice Econoline truck....
This one has bags up front. (Dropped axle is goin in soon). Crazy bag set up! Next one will get MII. fonzi
I usually don't like Ecololine pickups slammed, but that one Rules! I've been wanting to do one gasser style to use as a shop truck for the longest time to replace my rotting Ranchero. It sure would make it easier load things if it sat like that.
Please post some more pics esp. of the suspension.I have an early chevy van that I want to do like that!!
that's an awesome truck your buddy has. it looks killer with the wide whites. in the new Truck Trader, there's a '66 Encoline like the one FOZI posted for sale. $2500. here's the number 714-310-9035

[ QUOTE ] Barnett's is cool and stuff, but it's one of them big assed 'Cono's. S'fine if you like big asses. [/ QUOTE ] I don't know what you're talking about. Barnett has one of the finest asses I've ever seen!
I just picked this one up.I got it for $800cdn It still has the original paint! 6 with 3 speed standard. Its really nice shape, couldn't believe how solid it is. I'll prolly either flip the axle on top of the springs or drop the axle a couple of inches. Then flip the diff. Gonna drive it lots,my new shoptruck .....Shiny Its an old TV/appliance repair van. I'll get better pics when I go pick it up.
Yeah , thats me with my bad attitude. Still have the attitude but sold the van in 1970. I still wish ida kept it. It was easy on gas , great fun, and simple to work on,It would be a great shop truck today.
[ QUOTE ] Here's one that "I'm going to fix up one of these days" [/ QUOTE ] WOAAAH! Wasn't that Johnny 5's econoline?
I don't think there are any of those left in the rust belt - but they used to be everywhere. My dad got one in on trade once that was a passenger / window van type. It had a step that slid out when you opened the side doors. Very trick. It also had slotted mags. I don't think it drove well, kinda slow and handled funny. He took it to a demolition derby once and went out on the track between events and did donuts in it. I think he hated it. I like 'em. What's the Chevy equivalent called? Not the ugly corvair one but the other?
Here's a pic of the Econo truck that fellow DEADBEAT, Jeff Shea, just picked up...and yes...the tires, and probably wheels, will be swapped soon.
