Technical Ford clutch help for a Chevrolet guy

    The linkage was removed from the clutch fork, my friend attempted to move the fork fore and aft several times by hand. Whatever was jammed eventually broke loose and the bearing slid back on the sleeve releasing the clutch. The linkage was reinstalled and all worked as normal. My best guess is that it was the bearing that was binding on the sleeve but can say for certain.

  3. Ever try to slide a ring over a rod or pole real fast? Then there's placing a tight tolerance sleeve onto a shaft that won't move except by walking it then suddenly when fully inserted it slides as should be.
