Ford Cab Year ID

Anyone know what year this Ford cab is? I got it with a load of other stuff a while back. It was just the cab and frame. No bed, front axle, or front cap. The engine is the Diver's Helmet" style distributor flathead. Not sure if it's the original engine or not but looks like it probably is.

 

39 or 40 41 looks like...

 

Not a 39, 39 has a 3 rib reveal on the doors. I'd say 40-47 cab.

 

Is there a serial number on the frame? Possibly in front of the cowl on the driver's side on top.

 

Should be '40-41...pan forward a bit...if 1/2 ton, it would have cross spring. Later have oxcart springs.

 

So are 40-47 cabs all the same? It has a rectangular speedometer with 2 gauges built in on each side if that helps any.

 

There are slight differences at fenders. '41 last year for that distrib...what is front spring. cross or parallel?

 

No front axle or springs on it. Looks like it might have had parallel springs though.
