Thanks to all that have pre ordered to help keep New Zealand made quality product possible.

MAC’s Speed Shop - NEW Flathead V8 bolt on rear telescopic shock mount kit:
    • left and right shock mount bracket
    • six bolts 3 1/2” x 1/2” UNF and nuts to bolt bracket to the backing plate
    • two special lower shock mount bolts 2 3/4” x 1/2” UNF
    • two special upper shock mount bolts 3 5/8” long with 1/2” UNF and 7/16” UNF ends
This kit is designed to fit 1935-'48 Ford flathead axle bells with 3-1/4”bolt pattern. It is cast in Ductile SG Iron in New Zealand using virgin materials.
The bracket bolts to the factory axle housing mount at three points and positions the lower shock mount further in compared to a standard '42-'48 bolt on shock mount where the lower mount point is 1”- to 1-1/2” off the brake backing. No welding on the axle bells required. The MAC’s Speed Shop mount point is 4-3/4” off the brake backing plate to give the shock a much better and improved angle.
The brackets are designed to accept 5/8” eyes (upper & lower) in the shocks of your choice.
The example shown is a '32 Ford roadster with a Halibrand centre on '39 axle bells, '42 radius rod and with Bilstein shocks. It has a shock angle of 24 degrees.
As you can see in the other example it fits a ‘35/‘36 original rear axle nicely and clears the original radius rods, the tube shock angle is still 20 degrees. Only one lug of the bracket has to be shortened to make all three identical. So please specify the year of the axle you want to use the kit for.
The first run of 100 units will be ready to ship in January 2019 and is selling fast, so get your order in to secure your kit. Initial sales price is US$265.00 per kit including shipping. New Zealand and Australian customers pay $335.00 including GST and shipping.
