Hot Rods Ford 9 inch question

    If you want to build a whole separate 9" third member, you can have (free) the one I posted for sale in the classified a few weeks ago. But you'd have to drive the 6 hours one-way to come get it. Its real only value is the cast third member housing and the pinion yoke because its carrier is a 28 spline and the ring and pinion are 2:73. I got tired of tripping over it in the garage so I put them in the scrap bin at my brother's work. Other than that, they will get scrapped in a few months.

    If you had a Smart car or a Prius, it might be worth it to you. :D
     
  2. Thanks for the offer . However I have plenty of take out third members. most came from automatic vehicles so they are long legged like the one you have. I have a 325, 355 and a 390. The 390 might be Ok with short tires?
