It seems that the "made in USA" voltage regulators available today are junk. I have had three bad out of the box, as tested by the gen repair man. He said he usually doesn't have problems with the blue and gold units but he has been having problems. I am trying to get a spare for the trunk.

In searching for a solid state regulator I have found them for the 3 brush and one for aircraft that is for the "A" type gen.

Does anyone know if there is a 12v solid state voltage regulator available to replace the points type?

    Thank you

No such thing as a solid state regulator for these things?

I'd say we need more info. I'm assuming 6 volt which I don't know a thing about regulator wise.
