A buddy of mine stopped by with a poncho on a trailer, the next week after tat he stopped with the flat 8 in the back of his truck. It sure didnt look tat nice. If i get down to his shop i will post pics later
Isn't that a Pontiac 'Dream Car' from the very early '50s G.M. Motoramas? (the 'LeMer' or some such...looked kind of like an second cousin to the '53 Corvette.) Think of the 'good ol' days' here: the Nomad was a Corvette wagon! (with a six)
Take another look. This is nice detailing, with ideal carburetion...(ever see a chromed cast iron head? Not anodized/chromed aluminum...look at the casting marks)
I think it was basically a Safari two door wagon-esque Corvette. Why doesn't GM do cool stuff like this now? Instead we get bean shaped electric cars that come with testical removers standard.
my uncle has a 50 silverstreak and a 52 chieftan both with flathead straight 8's and original oilbath and 6 volts.. IM just waiting to get my hands on one of those
Yes, it's the '54 Bonneville Special. Seen many original pics of it but never with the hood up. Those are Carter YH carbs that were used on early Vettes, Corvair Spyders, Nashes, etc. I've worked on/owned those engines and those carbs and it looks great but...... its WAYYY over carbureted!!!
