You cars are right hand drive, right? How are the pedals laid out on the floor? Do you postmen have left hand drive? Do they offset the engines to the left? Where is low and reverse on the 4 spd shift pattern? Do trees lean into or with the wind?
Pedals are the same, just on the other side weirdly enough...... Rural Post here in NZ have the option but for some reason they would rather run around crossing the center line and driving on the wrong side..... seems a perfectly good way to get a late model LHD vehicle with out swapping it to RHD to me !! 4 Speeds the same as a rule but sometimes depends on Manufacturer. Trees lean away from dogs everwhere.
While you think its kinda strange,...think about this... We drive with our RIGHT hand on the wheel and the Left hand on the girlfriend...you drive with your Left hand on the wheel and your Right hand on your cellphone and/or SuperSized McCoke......
Postmen around here ride little Honda bikes, so they're sittin' in the middle! The number of right arm amputations from vehicle accidents is higher than left arms due to the habit people have of hanging their right elbow on the edge of the side window. The ratio has dropped slightly over recent years with the rise in the number of cars that come with air conditioning installed. Our water goes down the plug hole the other way round too! And we have vegemite! Cheers, Glen.
Saw that about 5 years ago in Bris,A young guy driving home on a saturday morning got too close to a bus comming in the opposite direction and it tore his arm off. I drove around the corner not long after to see an arm on the road,we thought it was a maniquin arm until we saw the car parked on the road with the unconscuous driver bleeding all over the place.....
