    Some of the old time tools and gee-gaws, nobody knows what they are for. In the 1850s an old time paddle wheel full of stuff headed to Montana, the Arabia hit a snag on the Missouri near Kansas City and sank quickly, salvage operations unsuccessful. The river changed course over the years, eventually it was found under 45 feet of silt and clay in a farm field in the 1980s, the mud excluded oxygen and everything found was almost perfectly preserved. But quite a few tool implements, they just don't know what the hell they are.

  10. Forgot to mention i have used this twice in the last 10 years. After finding a very old factory made device for the same purpose that worked beter i left this one up in the attic. Must say the factory made device does,nt get used much either. Pics later.

    Used to use blocks of wood, that tool would have been a leap forward.
