@Ryan .... just fucking buy it, I know you need it
We all have that Dream car. Until you buy it the fever never goes away. It's generally the sticker price that stops us from fulfilling that Dream. I can tell you that once you cough up the Bucks and get it home the Sting of the number fades into the past and is no longer thought about. From there on it's all Satisfaction and Smiles. I agree with Moriarity, just buy it! You'll never Regret it.
He won't do it.
maybe if we really egg him on and let him know how impressed we would be if he did it?
I doubt it. LOL
Would be cool if he rolled into the HAMB drags with it and set up in the pits next to the trailer.
You never pay too much, you buy a little early,,,
Think of 5 years from now when it shows up at BJ with a asking price of $50,000, and you go--
@typo41 Isn't that the gospel truth!
IMHO it doesn't get much better than this!
I restore vintage dragsters and at 12g that's frickin cheap for a car that complete. The value will go up and make more money then bank interest, its an investment,
back around 1980 a girl I knew had one in her parents garage that belonged to her brother who had passed away.
wonder if it is still there? can't remember where the house was now.
If this thing were in Austin, I'd go look at it... fall in love, and then go home and think about it. A couple of days later, I'd gather the courage to buy it only to find it was already sold.
BTW, this is probably my favorite kellison of all time:
Just seems like something a bad guy would drive in Speedracer - right?
All the more reason to jump on it.
Olympia would be a pretty long tow. You can do it though, bet you wouldn't have to pay for a room the whole way.
Here's a random dump from my archives:
Yep, you need it.
I can't deal with orange though. I'm a hard pass.
That is totally you Ryan standing there with it, but I know you would never stand there like that for a pic.
I've always loved the Cheetah the most, but the Devin and Kellison are close seconds. I know where a Devin is sitting in a garage in Kansas....
@Ryan , If you don't buy that, you will live to regret it........no excuses man, are you afraid you can't get the time off work to go see it? hell at that price just buy it over the phone and have it shipped....
"If it were mine, I’d go back to the blown small block, a 4-speed, and aim for an over-restoration "
Wasn't that version red?
God damnit Sancho!
Now you're just making shitty excuses
Oh good, a new signature quote.
and that version has headlights too... street car....
A few more images my buddy, Chadly Johnson took of it
Ryan doesn’t go fast anymore. He’s into customs, and flatheads.
Don't think it will last long at that price.
If it was closer to me it would be more money. Love that thing.
If it was to be mine it would have to be street worthy still a toy but gotta drive.
Thats probably part of your apprehension...and this thing is a capsule...intact with Pics...so we know there is a fine line when digging into race classics.
I won't give you a hard time for making it JUST street worthy...paint it however you like but you gotta keep the Cat Nasty...
So to me it's a fair price...and it is all Hotrod to me...every since @Russco started that thread...the admiration for this design was digging in.
