    From Dubuque,

I have been lurking for a while, even before I joined the forum...

I don’t currently have a car project unless you count a ‘67 Mustang coupe rusting into the ground at my brother’s acreage?

    Pause...,

    Nope, didn’t think so.

Maybe I could make it into a Gasser, :p

I have scratch built a couple of motorized bikes recently, but those may be too off topic for HAMB?

However I do like to doodle and see myself getting involved in the Friday Art show soon. (Can’t believe how fast some of you crank out some exceptionally great work!)

I’m also looking forward to my town being the host site of this years Vintage Torque Fest.

To be honest over the years I had kind of drifted away from the car & hot rod scene, and all changed at last years Torque Fest when I got my first real exposure to the Rat Rod movement!

Love the cars, the creativity, the culture & music, and the overall vibe!

    I am smitten.

Perhaps I’ll meet some of you there this year?

I have already meet member vero30 last fall when I bought a motorcycle wheel from him. In fact because of him I finally officially joined.

    Thanks!

    -Kirk

Howdy, neighbor. I'm on the Mississippi north of you.

I will be judging the pin up contest at Torque Fest. I won it last year. Stop by and say Hello!

If you like motorized bicycles, there will be a display of them at my show in September - Mississippi Mayhem. Cruise on up the river and immerse yourself in the cars, the creativity, the culture & the music. We're gonna party like it's 1959!

Thanks for the warm welcome all!

Hi Vern, I looked for you at the swap meet yesterday...?

I’m really looking forward to this years Torque Fest and will definitely look you up Fanny!

In case anyone's interested, here’s some pics of my bikes-

My first, Excalibur ‘09- A stretched turn of the century frame & 1939 Wisconsin Model AK engine.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gayDFNXWIw

2nd, Robert Thumper- Stretched 1960 Schwinn Frame and a GX200 clone engine.

I originally built them mostly to gain some metal working experience, but they turned out to be a lot of fun to ride too so I imagine I will build some more. Although I think I’m also ready to move on to bigger & better things now.

    Thanks again,

    -Kirk
