Here's the deal: my cousin picked up a Weber flywheel with the following specs: 160 ring gear teeth, 13 3/8 inch overall diameter, drilled for a long style pressure plate with a 10 inch disc, a 1 3/4 inch diameter center hole, and it appears to be externally balanced. Sounds Ford to me, but any small block Ford I've seen had either 157 or 164 teeth, and he's counted them three times. Any ideas? Thanks.
A quick Google search shows that 260's and early 289's came with a 160 tooth flexplate. Interchangeable with the 157 tooth. I'd guess flywheels would be similar situation. Check if the bolt pattern matches a SBF.
The 1963-64 260 did have a 160 tooth flexplate. It hda 14 1/4 holes on a 10 3/4 dia. bolt circle. You said it was a weber so I would say it was a special appellation for that year motor. i would like to see some pictures of it.
olds used a 160 tooth. I would have to dig to find one, to measure. if its not ford PM me and I'll find one to measure. I'd buy it if its oldsmobile
