Projects Flywheel Cover? For SBC-to-'39 Ford adapters

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Detonator, Mar 30, 2022.

  1. I'm doing a pretty conventional bolt-up: '39 Ford trans to a late 60's 327 using a Wilcap adapter. There's a lot of flywheel hanging out under this set-up, has anyone seen sheet metal covers for these? It's such a common combination I'd think there's an off-the-shelf solution. I could fab one up, it's a pretty straight forward cover, but just askin'....

  2. I’ve had two without a cover, and don’t know of one that exists off the shelf. I figure as long as you’re not bombing down a gravel road, you’ll probably be fine.

Pretty sure you'll have to fab something. I know I've never seen one in old catalogs or anyone offering a current aftermarket version.
    Nice car and engine/trans combo.
