interesting article about a woman in Florida...bought a Mercury Comet new in '64, still drives it. Story on Fox News here: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,533803,00.html?test=faces
Very Cool Story... Just hope she doesn't have to use the gun now with the article... Nice looking car too for a danged ol' 4 door...
my dad has always maintained that if you change the oil every 3000 miles your car will last forever. Looks like this proves that it's more than a good policy!
There are many of the old 60's in good shape running around. I have an original 1 owner 66 mustang and feel the same way. When you get something good you hang on to it and I know exactly how she feels.
First met Rachael Vetch when she came to Daytona to get her car's picture taken up on the track during the Turket Rod Run. She was 78 at the time and she is in her 90's now. Fantastic lady who is just as sweet as a person can be, but doesn't cut you any slack about her car. She is a retired parliamentarian.
So they don't even mention what engine is responsible for this fame... inline 6 , 170 CI, 200 CI, V8 260 CI or 289CI ?????????? Terry

Was gonna say the same thing, but anyhow, shit happens!!! It's hard to keep up with everything that goes through the Hokey Ass Message Board..... HC.
sorry for the duplicate post, guys. I really DID search before I posted it.... pretty sure I searched on "woman" and "Comet", had I only searched for "Lady" ..... and I don't think it's by chance that this is a Mercury. I'm not sayin'....I'm just sayin'....
