I tried searchin and did not find anything so here goes. Does anyone have a good fix for interior visors that will not stay up? It drives me nuts and they are in good shape so I do not want to buy new ones. Please help.:(

I slide about an inch of 1/4 inch vacuum hose over the end to snug them up.

If they droop on their rods, then the fold is probably NOT in good shape. A little stick-em added to the rods might get you some stiction to keep them in place.

Inner rod must be bigger, or hole smaller, or something has to jam it in place.

Heat-shrink tubing over rod? Make a bigger diameter rod somehow? Take off visor & crimp metal inside (depends on type)? Or even a collar with set screw to jam it in place.

Lots of options, no one answer.

Put a stick on velcro spot on the visor some where, and a coresponding spot on the headliner.

Works ok for "up" but what about "forward at windshield blocking the sun?" Need something that will hold visor in any position.

remove the visor from the car.Slide the rod from the visor.Bash it with a hammer along the length or put a slight bend in it then refit. This should give enough interference to make it stay in place.

I do the same except I just crush the outer with a pair of vise grips [ between 2 pieces of alloy to protect the vinyl ]
