Sure you have, its a custom thing. It means the grill appears to float in the opening. IE no mounting points are visible.

I love grills almost as much as hub caps. Here is my floater; two '54 Chrysler top grill bars with a '51 Ford grill suport mounted on the bottom. '50 chevy blinkers mounted inside a chrome bullet. Happy Trails, Mick
Here you go. Repop '53 Corvette grille with '53 Chevy turn signals mounted in reversed 2-cup measuring cups. (Yes, my running light housings are polished stainless steel measuring cups!)
