Fleetline'n......

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by LoneWolfNoCLub, May 11, 2012.

  1. Took My 49 Fleetline out for a cruise yesterday....Put a new edelbrock carb on it tuesday, ran perfect right out of the box... The Holley on it was a POS, I think the accelerator pump cams needed to be changed, at tip-in of the throttle under load, it would just die. Couldnt even get going above idle. You could get past it after a second in park or neutral, but not in gear.. If your car is just a cruiser, and you dont want to mess with the carb at all, the edelbrock's are pretty nice..... Snapped a couple pics.... Looking forward to Sins of Steel in June, and Relix Riot at the end of the summer at Gilmore Car museum... Never been to gilmore, or that show. I hear both are pretty cool. Hoping to get the Wide whites for the rear any day now.....

That car is just plain gorgeous and exactly how i'd have a Fleetline. Nailed it!!!

If you don't mind me asking what mods do you have that allow a chair user to drive the car? Pull and push level for brake and accelerator? Thats inspiration for others no doudt.

    Nice one:cool:

  16. Thanks All!!!!!!!!! Not sure of the color other than gold, it was on there when I got it, a decent amateur job.... Not sure if it was ever really wetsanded or rubbed on though..... could use a bit of polish, some chips here and there, and somebody elses godawful attempt at touchups that does not remotely match, needs to be fixed, but shes a good driver now.... The hand controls are a single lever on the left side of the column, push towards the floor for gas, towards the dash for brakes.....

    James, the car looks great.
Gilmore is awesome and the Riot will only be getting bigger. Couldn't ask for a better venue for a show...
