I am gathering parts for a 8BA build and trying to make a decision on ignition. I am leaning towards a New Stromberg crab distributor. Can I run either a 2 or 3 hole distributor with the proper cover on the 8BA? Which is a better choice if either will work?
    Thanks

  2. If it were me I would check with Bubba for a ign selection if I were undecided.

The cam will have to be changed to install a front mounted distributor on an 8ba.

If you decide you want the crab style distributor you will need a 2 bolt cover.

Maybe New Stromberg makes a three hole crab distributor, but Ford didn’t.
