I started my 41 Chev truck last year after it was parked in the summer of 1954. The oil in it looked good, so I drained it and found that it was still clean. New fuel in the tank, rebuild the carb, clean out the cooling system completely, new plugs, wires, points, etc., removed the valve cover and poured some oil over everything a couple of times. I let it sit for a week, checked it all again, and it started up like it had been run yesterday. Sticky valves, rings, and enough oil into the bearings are my concerns with any engine that's been sitting. Good luck.
