Technical Flathead spark plug questions

Exposes the air/fuel mixture to a larger spark or 'flame kernal' which results in a more complete burn a lttle sooner in the cycle for increased efficiency (power). Much like plug indexing, one of those "Rather have it and not need it..." things.
