That's slick, and so simple. If I had a flathead, I'd be in for a couple (things in my garage tend to hide when I need them).
Now, if there was one of those for a SBC he would sell the shit out of them. I can never remember EIIEEooohh shit where was I??????
Slick idea. The was a recent thread by a HAMB'r who makes them as well, and another who posted he has a stock of them too.
So, the brilliance of this is that it gets you "dialed in", perfectly on the heel of the cam lobe, and you don't have to have a sheet of paper laying there with the cylinder sequence written on it. Make's you look like a real pro when someone is lookin over your shoulder. tim
I saw that post last week and thought I should get one. If someone from the states was to import them I suppose they will sell very well. I know I would buy one.
Really slick, I'll be starting my first real flat head build shortly and I will def pick one up if he is selling them.
Part with basic #6500 up there...Fordspeak: Its name is "Rod (valve push)." The lid on the whole mess...the thing the carburetor sits on, you know? That's "Cover (valve chamber)." 1932 V8 cataloging there, the root of all our vocabulary and grammar. Got it? Obviously, this fundamental verbiage was borrowed and corrupted later on by people building engines with all sorts of silly and unnecessary parts.
