I was at the Portland Swap meet yesterday and met Ken Austin. He is a custom intake manifoldl/pattern maker from Newberg Oregon. He makes dual and tripple '49 - '53 Lincoln manifolds. They run from $400 to $750. He will also make custom Ford flathead manifold w/ your name on it. I'm going to have him make me a dual high rise for my 59A. He only wants $400 for his custom manifolds. He also makes manifolds for V8 60s (Duals, triples & blower base) & Arduns. His company is "The Rod Shop", Manifolds by Ken Austin, PO Box 111, Newberg, Oregon 97132 (503) 349-1360

Lincoln blower manifold. He also makes 21 stud, 59A & 8BA blower manifolds. He said he could custom make one for my GMC 453 blower that I have in my shop. Cool beans man!

  4. That's pretty cool...maybe a bunch of us should chip in and have him make a flathead manifold branded HAMB, and we could auction it for the board.

That's a great idea. He was really a cool old dude that loved to talk flathead. I guess he has made quite a bit of Ardun stuff over the years & he started making manifolds in 1950.

I'm glad to find this out--I saw an Ardun with an "Austin" manifold a couple of years ago and have wondered about it since.
I'd like to commission a series of flathead manifolds dessigned to baffle people at shows: Wal-Mart, Boyds...

He might use CNC to make his patterns and core boxes but the parts are genuine sand cast.

  14. For a 337ci Lincoln? If you don't mind me asking, what do they go for?

judging form the pictures the intake on the left looks long enough to be v12. 4 different size flathead intakes....
