We inherited our dads extensive Ford collection of parts/engines & we need to downsize it. Some of our family members are saying Flatheads are a dying breed while others are saying that we know people are still building them. Weigh in please if you are still messing with them...

  7. I just got a 48 with flathead. I was holding out on finding one with the old flathead still in it. Nothing looks better than a fully dressed up Ford flathead engine.

Built a 286” Flattie for this truck. My first and probably last Flathead. But I wouldn’t have anything else in the truck.

I'm building a TV8 right now..maybe I like 'em cause they remind me of my childhood (going on 80yrs now). I've had other rods over the years, always a flattie. Part of my bucket list I guess. Love those tall T's.

Put me down in the pro-flatheads column. Just acquired my first at age 37 and hope to one day have as much experience with them as the old heads chiming in here.

Worthless junk. Send me your address. For $50 I’ll come pick up the mess and haul it away for you.

Yeah, I know, but somebody had to say it.

REMEMBER : If motors were supposed to have pushrods & rocker arms, Henry would have put them on!! He obviously tried to follow the KISS principle, as well as "If it isn't there, it can't break or otherwise go wrong!!"
