What is the consensus on which crank is better for a very High Performance drag motor with 4"-4.25" stroke and why? I have heard the stories of SCAT cranks are hard to balance and Eagles aren't as bad. Has anyone actually had a crank failure and broke one? Is there any differences in the metallurgy of the two? They both are cast steel from what I've read.

From what I've read about the two brands, they're both cast in China, but the Scat pieces are properly finish machined by them in the US.

No problems with 4-1/8 stroke SCAT crank and rods after 8000 miles if spirited street driving
