Hey guys, got my ‘36 Flathead back out of my ‘29 A coupe for the last time, I hope. I was having issues with mechanical fan/distributor clearance and I thought I had the problem licked. Nope.

I am running a ‘36 LB Flathead with ‘46 fan hub and fan, ‘46 12V generator and ‘46 crank pulley. I have a rebuilt crab distributor with the adapter for my 3 bolt timing cover. All good.

Tonight I am re-gasketing the engine and I noticed that the ‘46 crank pulley has a bigger diameter hole for the crank. I assumed all cranks had the same snout diameter. Can I sleeve the ‘46 pulley and machine it to the ‘36 crank snout?

Apparently they make an adapter for this but I have never seen one. Anybody have one?
