I have a 59ab out of a 47 Ford coupe. The car was purchased in Texas in the late 70s early 80s by my cousin while in the Air Force. He drove the car a TON! From Mississippi to Missouri on a regular basis. After shelling the trans he sold the car to his brother who put a 302 c4 combo in it. He gave us the motor. When we pulled the heads we noticed the pistons were marked STD so they were obviously replace... further looking found the motor had been ported relieved and stroked with a merc 4 inch crank adjustable lifters with the lifter boss drilled for ease of adjustment and an aluminum timing gear! When we fired it up it ran amazing!!! The cam is far from stock!! Lopey! Runs super strong and revs faster than most smallblocks! The cams marked with a -T on one side and a F and what appears to be a 40 in a circle on the other... any help would be awesome! Here is a pic.
