does the exhaust always exit from the top on the flathead cad motors ? I am building a front engine dragster model and the heads on my motor mount with the manifolds at the bottom. Are they wrong or did some exit at the bottom?

  4. Flathead Caddy exhaust alway exits the top of the BLOCK not the heads. If the exhaust did exit the head then they would be some Overhead conversion.

Your engine kit is a Cad over head valve engine, not a flat head!

  13. If anyone is looking for a nice Caddy flathead out in CA., I bought one years ago and it still sits indoors. Nice an clean, came out of a runner that was well maintained. Motor, trans, and column with column shifter too. Pm me.

I just talked to the guy today, then saw this thread, I'd like it... but shipping seems to be a bitch. Going on almost three years...
