So I ordered a 9" clutch for my flatty to T5 and a new 9" pressure plate when they came I realized my flywheel is drilled for a 9.5" clutch so I replaced the new 9" pressure plate with the old 9.5" pressure plate housing and can now bolt it the flywheel. Is this ok and will it work?

If the ID of the pressure plate covers the disc surface without hitting the springs I would think it would be OK. Watch out for the springs on the engine side of the disc, make sure they clear the flywheel bolts. I had to replace the Ford bolts with low head bolts for SBC/SBF . Also used some thin stainless washers from my junk stash under the head of the bolts and some red Loctite.
