John K has been working feverishly on the front aero mods. Randy and John set and checked the alignment last weekend.

John is getting closer on the fiberglass work. He says the is still a slight difference side to side, but he's gaining on it!

    Nice work, too!

    HELP! I need a m7 x .8 Tap!

Don is working like crazy to get the lifters done. We are using early Harley adjustors, and just found out the take a m7 x .8 Tap!

If anyone has one they are willing to sell, or knows where I can get one ASAP, it would be much appreciated!

  3. Are you sure it's 7 x 0.8?

The normal pitches for 7mm are 0.5, 0.75 and 1

    I'll keep looking though

Engine update This weekend will be a busy one on the lifter assemblies. My goal is to have a complete mock up in the block to proof all issues and alignments so I can start the real parts. I started roughing in the Cast iron lifter blocks tonight while I wait for the tap for the adjusters.

Here is the final fit.. Valves adjusted and adjuster locked down using standard 7/16" wrench -- tight fit - But I know Dale should be able to get a good fit at final assembly. So I am off to build the Real parts !

Buddy and all the crew, Wishing you all the best in your run at 200 ! I wish that I could be there to see you go for the record. Congrats on the other Trophies you have collected. Time to build a bigger display case for all of these.

Buddy and I met at Wzjunk's (john k.) this morning to install the spoiler on the trunk of the flatcad. That Damn John had everything ready to go except for the seven thousand holes to be drilled in the spoiler and the 14 thousand nuts and bolts to be put in the spoiler lol so my daughter and I got busy drilled all the holes installed the bolts and nuts while buddy went on a parts run and John finished making brackets and then we got the spoiler installed on the trunk. This car is beginning to look like it belongs at bonneville. I even snuck a shot of the front end its not quite done but john sure does amazing work. Anyways enough of my rambling here are the pics

Randy, I'm sure that was just an oversight on John's part!:D:D

Spill plates are installed. John now is going to make the pieces that go from the spill plates to the body.

Additional braces are on, and the area between the spill plates and body are filled, per the rules.

Kjell, I wanted to get away from the solid copper gasskets, and run the Cometic.

The Cometic were not what we expected though-the 'fire ring' around the cylinders floated-it was not attached to the rest of the gasket.

On the Ford gaskets, it looks like it's attached. Why are not Cometic making similar to the Caddy?
Do you have to O-ring all the water-jackets too?
Hope you will be able to seal her up, because it sure will make some pressure @800hp!:)

    When are you Dyno it?
