Flat head help

Got a 1950 ford flat head motor out of a coupe just wondering if it will bolt up to a 38 ford standard trans or do I need to buy an adaptor ,any info will help I know if any body would know u guys would thanks I'n advance

 

great forum on bellhousings on hamb-itcovers your adapation.I believe you will need a housing from a 49-53 ford truck- use your earlier clutch and preasure plate. easy. good luck tom

 

use a 51-53 merc bellhousing. works perfect.

 

Wrong 49-50 Merc tin bell or PU thru 52 that used floor shift 3 speed trans.
