Flake or no flake

    I am new here and looking for some advice on some paint work.
    I have a model a sedan, I am going to paint the frame a crazy green,
    but I want it flaked out like crazy and I want it to be very noticable.
    Can anyone suggest what kinda flake to use........??:confused:

    Welcome to the HAMB mama! Look up Rudi Hernandez there in Victoria, he can proly show you some examples of what can be done. That father-son team are true blue rod guys. PM me if you can't find their numbers!!!

    Check out the flake on the roth site http://www.rothmetalflake.com/ and the www.kustomshop.com site. The biggest size they both have is a .025 hex. I am using the standard .015 and it still pops.

    Do a search on flake and a bunch of threads will come up.

    Well, there are 3 or 4 different sizes of flake...look through some threads here....find what ya like and go from there

    Here's pic's of a buddy of mine's green metal flake sedan. I don't recall what paint he used for sure, I think it may have been House of Color. Maybe Grumpy will chime in, he will know what paint was used for sure.

    I have shot House of Color flake in clear over color, two sizes, and it came out nice. If you want it to stand out, go big with lots of clear for depth.
