Projects Flake amount

    I am about to make a decition for the painting of My ride, "El Cheapo" a -64 Fairlane 4 door.
    And i need to know how much flake is normally needed to for the roof 4oz,8z,1Pound. :eek:
    I don't know. The car painter guy don't know either. Help me please!!!!

    A little bit more....

    .....and then just 5 more layers of clear to be sure.

    This is going to be one of those...you won't know until you get there answers. It really depends on how heavy you want the coverage and what size flake you want. For medium size flake I would probably get about a quart can full for pretty heavy coverage, how ever much it weighs.....and a lot of clear.

    Depending on your flake size you will want to use 3oz. per quart of clear this will get you good coverage. The base color will effect how much flake and coverage you will need . Remember not enough flake will look splotchy.
