Thats looking great!
This car is going to be so damn good. You must be excited.I'm really happy for you.If you look back...the accident actually was a "good" thing, don't you think ? I'm gonna answer your mail soon buddy !
Here's a little update...added some '54 Dodge trim like Don Carrol's Gaylord-built shoebox, and a grill reminiscent of the Bear Kustoms-built Bob Dofflow shoebox.
WOW, the car is looking great! The new trim really sets the flow of the car off
So glad this build is back up on here!
Cool. Trim looks good (the whole car is looking good), nice to see some custom trim when damn near everyone seems to be into clean shaving these days (myself included).
Great stuff Rob, wont be long now
Thanks, guys...yep, shouldn't be too long now, Tim
Love the lines of the chop now and great work on the tailights. Keep it up. Thanks for sharing your build.
Here's a small update...my friend has the bodywork just about finished and we're planning on getting the car in a sealed flat paint next week just so I can get her running/driving and have some chrome done. After I get all the bugs worked out and we both have enough time, we'll blow the car apart and paint it the dark metallic plum (Wally Welch purple color...)
I really like the proportions. You nailed it.
Don't leave us hangin' bro, even little updates are appreciated!
Great progress Is it gonna be semigloss white or is tat just prime?
Build is looking good. The little things your doing that most people will not even notice are what make the car yours and not the masses. good job
Thanks for the kind words, guys! The grey on it now is just primer...going to run in a flat maroon paint (sealed) for a little bit and make sure everything is tits, then we're going to paint it glossy dark plum metallic asap...
It's looking awesome already!
Your shoebox is looking great, love the side trim, tail lights and that overrider bar on the back bumper is killer.
Lookin sharp Focker!!
Nice, I was looking to do this as well.
I like that tail light treatment, thats definitely something different than you see usually.
I sure hope it'll be a handsome lil' focker!
Here is a small update...my friend, Octavio, has worked his tail off finishing up the bodywork and getting my Ford into a quicky flattened maroon paint so I can focus on the mechanical things and get her back on the road. We're still going to paint it glossy down the road. I stripped and painted my engine and sent everything out to be re-polished, engine bay is painted, and I started to install the sidetrim. Once I finish college this December, I will really have more time to wrap everything up- my goal is the Temecula Rod Run in March.
Who'd you get those skirts from? That's a shoebox that sure sits pretty. I'm diggin' the '54-'55 timeline vibe a lot.
Very nicely done!
She sure is looking sweet. The mods to the tail lights came out real nice.
Looks GREAT Rob!
