Was cleaning out misc. leftover parts from my roadster build. Removed this water pump
from my 241 engine that I scrounged from a 1954 Dodge 1 1/2 ton truck. Is it the same as a passenger car housing, or is it raised up to place the fan higher in the radiator? The housing casting # is 1485917-1. I ended up using a short SBC pump on my engine.

a little bit of googling shows there are pumps that sit a couple inches lower....

Yep, looks raised. The pump that came on my 325 out of a car looks similar, but different from the one squirrel posted.

Truck pump housing Not a bad part, it puts the fan in the right place when swapped into early fords. A factory Zips water pump for a dodge.

Thanks all for the feedback. Looks like I'll put it on the shelf and not on the scrap pile.
