After several years of work, I finally got my '40 to move under it's own power. There is still a ton of work to do, but at least this will give me some motivation...

the blog and videos say 261. I am wondering the details of it. It sounds awsome! What transmission is on it?

    Thanks for the positive comments...

It's a 261 out of a '62 Chevy bread truck, completely stock. I used an s-10 5 speed and converted the stock '40 rear end to open drive shaft with parallel leaf springs. The front end is all stock '40 ford stuff.

There is nothing like your first drive in your hot rod. Here's me in my 40. 25 years ago now. I was 16 years old.
