Finally started choppin my shoebox

  1. Been flyin on this thing.I brought it in the shop less then two weeks ago.
    I've clipped and diffed it,steering,pedals,mill/trans mounts etc.
    This morning Ish and I got started early and whacked the roof off of it.
    I'll have more pics later.I just got home from the shop and need some rest....Shiny

  4. We took out 6 to 6.5"" and 9 to 9.5"
    I'll be gettin final numbers later.....

    So how you doing bro?.....
     

  5. No,were gonna lean the B pillars on it.
    Thought bout hrdtoppin it though....

    That's a pretty decent amount. Are you sure you're going to be able to fit your 6ft tall son in the back? :) I sure am glad you're slanting those B pillars. Shoe boxes are one of the few cars it looks good on.
    I'm doing good. I'm turning second year on my apprenticeship this week, and I'm starting my Mig and Tig courses as well. I’m going to get my tickets and be a qualified welder.

    I put an S-10 clip and diff in it.Worked like a hat damn.(thanx Laurie)
    I Z'd it 2 1/4" too.
    Its gettin one of my early small block chebbys in it.
    I used the original column.

    I've actually done a whole tech thread on how I clipped it,and one on choppin it too.Will post it up when I wake up from my nap!.....Shiny

  13. Its gettin close to being on the road,maybe next weekend I'll be driving it.
    Its far from done but at least I can drive it and work on it too.....

    This is it a few weeks ago.
    I've since lowered the back osme more and installed dropped spindles too:eek:
    The wiring is done,front bumper is mounted,got a newer front seat in it and newer rear will be in it soon too,floors are done,exhaust is done etc.
    Gonna get the brooms and brushes it out this week and give it some color:cool: :D
    I'll see if I can take some more pics tonight of it.....Shiny
     
  14. Looks great! I think you made the right choice leaning the B's rather than hardtopping it.
