    Today's progress:
I realized when I bolted the fender aprons on that my body was 1 inch to far forward..-! And what sucks is that the floor is molded to the frame imams is glued to the body now.. . So I cut some oak 1 inch spacers for the body to sit on. They run the entire length of the frame and cross members. They give a lot of support. It was perfect because with an inch of height, the Body could tightly slide back an inch. This left me with a 3 inch channel instead of a 4... I want to run a stock hood and side panels now thar I have my fancy ass grill. So I lowered the fender aprons down 3 inches on the frame . I trimmed them out to fit around the frame . I will wait to drill the new holes, I want to have the real hood sitting here and on to make sure it all gaps nicely. So I clamped the back on and used some copper round stock to check the hood line from the cowl to the grill. Perfect! So far ....
I also installed the gen bracket and generator to see if it will fit in the side panels... I may have to lower the offset bracket some but it should be fine ..
Waiting on the custom radiator to come in! Had one hand made to account for the channel.. Very excited to get it and see how it fits. Very reputable guy is making it!
    Here's a few pics:

the car itself will be doneby jan/feb... the motor is the last thing. it is getting a rather large stroker kit, isky400jr cam, lots of relief work, aluminum heads,.. i want to make it run... so the motor and the quick change rear are going to be the two things that slow me down. but it should be driveable by june..

i have a spare model a frame that i wanted to build my wife a roadster. but she decided she wants a truck instead. so thats next years project

I finished the rockers today. They turned out well In my opinion. Now Ill move to the doors since I'm sure they will close all the way now.
I also fabbed up the rear spreader bar. Which later on down the road it will get the salt flat push bar and bonneville license plate topper .
Its turning more and more into the car I have always wanted... I've also ditched the hood and side panel idea...
I attached a few pics below. The last one is the best looking 33-34 I've ever seen.. Seen it a lot and it just dawned on me that that's the look... The perfect look

A key part of the Vern Hammons coupe "look" is the severe chop. Are you going to chop your body further? I would like to have a coupe with that severe a chop, but I fear it would be impractical.

No I'm not going to. My windshield is already at 6 inches .. Pa law says it has to be 7... So I'm already illegal that way plus I'm driving this car to bonneville. It's low enough . His car is a perfect chop though. In my opinion the key to his car is that it's a fender less, flathead powered, chopped traditional rod.... Not shiney, power windows , with a sbc...

I built the salt flat push bar this evening and mounted the license plate. The cops sure will love the plate being blocked! I'm getting ready to install the f1 box. It was my spare I have had laying around, it's in rough shape but two new bearings and a shim kit and it will be good as new

Ok guys, for my new wheels.... Sold the brand new Coker wheels I had and got these wheels, tires and center caps. I love the look!!! I also fabbed up a front grill guard today. I like it. It's simple but effective. I seen another one like This so I stole the idea . Also I asked the guys on another thread to throw some color to my car ... This is they general type of blue that I may go with.. I love the back ground! Hope it will see the salt by 2015

I think I'm gonna go with russco's coupe blue. It's a Porsche color .. Soooo nice looking . I was gonna do my model a in that color but I left the patina. So I'm gonna do it on this one maybe

That's cool....good luck with it. I've always liked 34s. Never found one that was for sale. Pretty much gave up on ever finding one. Then last Sunday I met up with a guy that had a bunch of Model A parts for sale. He opens the gate and as soon as we walk in there sits a 34 coupe. I asked him 3 times how much that one was because he said he needs to sell everything. Never got an answer. It's an all steel no rust car original paint and interior.....but back int the 80s someone stuck a 440 in it. He has a built flathead and sheetmetal to put the firewall and floor back the way it was.
