started with a swap meet 27 t front half that already had tne tailgate welded across the back, made it way to short for me.I always liked the roadster body look so i just started to build my own version. The chassis is 2x4 tubing model a style, its going together at a buddys house due to space limitations.Hope to have her rolling soon.her is a few pics of progress, later Robhttp://[IMG] starthttp://[IMG] mock uphttp://[IMG]goinghttp://[IMG]morehttp://[IMG]sidehttp://[IMG]

    Cool!

A little "yankee ingenuity" will get it done.

I've heard that back in the 30's it was common for race car builders to make the tail sections for Sprints and Midgets out of a pair of old fenders.

Cool. Reminds me of the 25 Dodge/MG midget roadster body I started. Sold the body to Ironpile who's finishing it right now.

Looks cool . I love to see hot rods built using cast off truck parts. I hope to see more of this. Sounds like the Not Otis Hood Rats truck hot rod is shaping nicely, too. Mister X, tell us more about the Hood Rod.

Rob, is that a 32 roadster Quarter in the back ground next to your big sign?

I wanna hear more about the car made out of all hoods, pics would be great.

  13. Nice work! I wouldn't have thought that would be possible or look so good.

I would favor the tailgate rear-end for my own vehicle, though. I'm not skilled enough to do a fender conversion like you did.

Well I got all the stuff home to put a frame together, called my buddy up who happens to have a really nice welder and we got busy.It came out pretty nice & square. Used some A frame horns to cap it off. Hope to have this rolling in a couple weeks but i've started getting busy at work. Later Robhttp://[IMG] ihttp://[IMG]
