Anyway I found a decent truck but it is a long bed. I was really wanting a short bed but beggers can't be choosers. Decent trucks that are not complete rustbuckets or beat to hell are hard to come by. Anyway I remember seeing someone show shortened a fleetside bed but I can't remember where I saw it. It might have been on HAMB but I searched and couldnt find it. Has anyone here tackled this job? Thanks Justin
Custom Classic Trucks magazine has done tech on a shortening a long bed c-10 called Get Shorty http://www.customclassictrucks.com/techarticles/0707ct_1971_chevy_c10_tech/index.html
Don't be paranoid. If you've ever seen the cheeseball way most truck frames are extended for stuff like 10ft flatbeds.....you'll have no concerns about the strength of your shortened frame.
