    Ok, so I wasn't going to start a thread on my new project but I just couldn't help myself.
    Went today to pick up one of my dream cars, a 1936 5W coupe.

    Found her on Ebay, after a deal for another fell through, and I have to think she was meant to be mine.
    She was less then 2hrs from home and was a complete running, driving car.

    She's got a 40 rear, juice brakes, and the engine seems to run pretty good, with no smoking at all.

    Plans are to keep her unchopped, adding some skirts & dropping her ass into the dirt.
    Taildragger.

    Someone, don't ask me why, decided to ditch the stock tail lights, and ad a fuel door to the fender.
    This abortion will be addressed in short order, and she'll be back to stock asap.

    Gauges look mint and i'll be keeping my eyes peeled for a nice banjo wheel to replace the one she's got there now.

    Here are a few shots from today;

    Congrats!! A '36 3-window is at the top of my bucket list, but will probably never be able to afford one.

    Very cool score. Definitely on my bucket list as well. Only difference is the one of my dreams will be a chopped taildragger.

    I realize this thread my go down as the most boring build thread in HAMB history but unfortunately lack of funds + limited skill= slow progress, so here we are.

    Right now the car is at Jersey Metalshaping having just gotten a new fuel tank and lines installed.
    Hopefully by the weekend the stock tail lights will be installed along with the new filler neck for the gas tank, and the hideous fuel door will be filled and forgotten.
    I've installed the new wide whites in front after redoing the rusty old 16" steelies and will install the rears before taking her home over the weekend.

    Next up when she gets home is to re-wire the ole' girl and re-build the carb.

    The look I'm hoping to end up with is Bob Benn's 36 built by Donn Lowe seen in this shot.

    I'm keeping mine unchopped,though.
