  1. Now that's just crazy talk. lol

  2. Forgot to post a pic of my seat in the car. The rest of the interior will be done in the same off white color.

  3. Worked on the coupe some more this weekend. Finished my door panels. I know they aren't perfect but for a homemade job they turned out pretty good.

Hate to sound like a stuck record, but you and your fellow HAMBer mates have done well. Thanks for posting. How much travel have you got in your rear suspension and do you know what spring rate and free height those rear QA1 rear springs are............come visit with your mates some time....:)

  5. Thanks for the compliment man. Honestly I have no idea with the spring rates. I bought them used from a friend and he didn't know much about them. I will say that it rides nice so it does seem like there is nice travel. It's not too stiff but it's not bouncy either. It's actually a pretty comfortable ride. I'm sure it would ride even better if I wouldn't have put bias ply's on there but what fun is that? If I wanted a car that rode like a Cadillac I would've bought a Cadillac lol

Man I would love to visit New Zealand. It looks like you live in a beautiful country with great weather!

nice build!! You got lots of work done fast. I can't wait to get started on my project. This gives me inspiration to get going on it soon. I love the stance, thats what I'm gonna go for. Have fun enjoying it and doing what they are made for, "driving"!! Thanks for sharing your build.

Mike after driving it is there any major changes you would have done?

  22. The only thing I regret is not building a roadster instead. :(

Everything else is great. Runs great, drives great, good on long trips. Everything is great. Lots of fun to drive and comfortable.

  23. .

Wow, somehow I completely missed this build. Love it, love it, love it!!!

The color, the stance, everything - SPOT ON.

Congrats on a great looking hot rod.

Not to worry, the first time it rains, and as you casually roll up your windows, you might even smile a bit. Worst case, put in a canvas roll back roof insert in it, that's what I have in mind for my 29 coupe. Nice job, Gary

  26. Funny you should say that Gary, I ordered up my sliding rag top for the roof insert a few weeks ago and it is supposed to be here this week. Once I get that in then I can finish my interior. ;)

Shed some light on the roof piece you ordered? Price, manufacturer, supplier, etc.

  29. Hey Joe, I ordered a 40x40 sliding rag top from slidingragtops.com. I saw one in person a couple of months ago and I was really impressed with the quality of it. I will take lots of pics of the install when it gets here.
