Don't listen to who? You have voices in your head?

I've heard nothing but positive feedback on this thread.

  5. It wasn't my work that was the issue, but what I cut out :D
But thanks for the kind words guys.

Going a bit slow lately, been camping a bunch. Next weekend is the guns and ammo extravaganza.
I hope I can find 410 shells for my son, the 12gauge kicked his ass lol

Thom, haven't heard anything from you in a while. What's going on with the car?

  7. Happy New Year Flattie!
Your coupe is coming along nicely.

    Not much lately for me.
Either it's to dam cold to smear mud, or I'm fighting a Daily Driver

But I do promise It's coming along. The goal is high build primer and block sanding this summer.

The plan is to block it out this winter.

Thom, the car looks great! I can't wait to take a cruise in it!

I'm home for a couple of days, and so is the FlatCad. I have to leave for work in a couple of days, so I'm thrashing to get the rear end fixed, and a couple of front end mods. Holler at me if you want!

  15. Will the fun ever end? LOL

The good news is that my bodywork turned out pritty good, better than I had hoped!

  22. Hey guys,
No big updates, I'm about 1/2 way done blocking it out. I got all winter till it's warm enough to paint again

I'm slacking right now, had to shovel 1 foot of snow to get to the hot tub LOL
I did get a new compressor, that big 80 gal 2 stage from lowes.

    Any updates on the Chevy!!!

  26. Not to much:rolleyes:
3 more coats of primer, and about a week and a 1/2 of wet sanding.
I'm getting there. Just the front clip and 1 door to go.

  27. Finally!
    I've got a shiny bit :D

This is my spare trunk I'm practicing my paint skills on.
I'm glad I did this, I've learned a lot from my mistakes.
The paint is Summit Racing's Dark Jade metallic, and silver.
The clear I shot is the high solids from summit also.
The gun is a Harbor Freight HVLP.

    What I've learned:
Color is easier to handle with more of a drop coat. It avoids the tiger stripes easier.
Clear.....hose it on. It comes out so much smoother when there is a bit more material to wet out. I'll have to figure out how to color sand and buff next.
